FACIAL ENHANCEMENT ACUPUNCTURE
Facial Enhancement Acupuncture isn’t just about looking better — it’s about feeling better too.
Rooted in Five Element Acupuncture, this treatment works on the inside and outside. Each facial area reflects an internal organ and emotional state, based on the five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.
By gently stimulating both facial and body points, we help:
Boost collagen and elasticity
Improve tone, circulation, and radiance
Release stress and tension
Restore internal balance linked to digestion, sleep, hormones, and emotions
This holistic approach means you don’t just leave with glowing skin — you leave feeling more centred, uplifted, and energised with:
Softer fine lines and wrinkles
Tighter skin, especially around the jaw, cheeks, and eyes
Improved complexion (less dull, more vibrant)
Reduced puffiness or sagging
Calmer expression, especially in the brow and jawline
Most people notice a subtle difference after a few sessions, but results often become more noticeable after 5–10 treatments, depending on age and skin condition.

Stimulates Collagen & Elastin Production, resulting in younger looking skin.
When the needles are inserted into the facial skin, they create microtrauma — tiny, controlled injuries.
This signals the body to go into repair mode, triggering the fibroblasts (cells in connective tissue) to produce collagen and elastin.
Collagen provides firmness and structure to the skin.
Elastin gives the skin its flexibility and resilience.
This process of acupuncture also taps into the body’s wider systems of balance and healing.
Improves Blood Flow & Oxygenation
Needling improves microcirculation in the facial tissue, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the skin.
This helps to reduce dullness and encourages a brighter, more even tone.
Better circulation also helps to remove waste products more efficiently.
Stimulates Lymphatic Drainage
Needles placed in certain areas of the face and neck can stimulate lymph flow.
This helps reduce puffiness and fluid retention, especially under the eyes or around the jawline.
Muscle Tone & Facial Contours
Acupuncture can target facial muscles—some of which are overactive (causing wrinkles) and some underactive (leading to sagging).
The treatment can relax tight muscles (e.g. around the brow or jaw) and activate weak ones, subtly lifting and toning the face over time.
Balances Internal Systems
The skin is a reflection of the body’s internal health—especially the liver, spleen, kidneys, and digestive system.
FEA often includes body acupuncture points to address underlying imbalances, such as stress, poor digestion, or hormonal fluctuations, which can contribute to premature ageing.
HERE’S MORE
Please take a moment to read.
Facial Enhancement Acupuncture is a drug and toxin free alternative to injectables, it is very possible to see improvements in only a couple of treatments. For best results a course of 10 on a weekly basis is recommended, and further treatments every 6 weeks. Appointments are allocated in 2 hour slots.
As exciting as it is, for optimum results it’s advisable your first treatment is a Traditional Five Elements diagnosis. It is so important to treat holistically. I will take detailed (confidential) notes, and a number of assessments including pulses and blood pressure. Then I will needle specific points on your back, to optimise balance in organs, and clear any blocks in meridian pathways. Everything is connected, for example, heavy dark bags under eyes or age spots, could be related to liver pathway, so resolving this will give better results to your skin after cosmetic acupuncture. A few days later, we will concentrate on facial enhancement.
Some do’s and don’ts
Please do arrive without make-up & please don’t wear make-up till at least the next day.
You will be asked to remove socks, watches and top layers of clothing (underwear can be left on)
Side effects are minor and uncommon, however just in case of bruising or slight swelling, or a slight bleed from needle extraction, don’t go booking a party or your wedding etc too soon after treatment. (I like to apply arnica gel if necessary)
Please drink lots of water before & after treatment. It is a good idea to eat lots of fruit with high water content.
I apply a facial oil with a light massage, after removal of needles. Please let me know if you have any allergies I need to be aware of.
Does it hurt?
The single use and sterilised needles are very fine and are inserted not only in the face, but other areas of your body. These help you relax and restore. So the simple answer is, you might feel a pinch in some areas, many patients report an overall enjoyable experience, the results speak for themselves.
What to expect?
In just a couple of sessions you should start to see results, you face might feel tighter, as treatments go on, lines will shrink and flatten and the face and neck muscles will activate and show natural definition.
You’ll look and feel great, knowing there’s nothing artificial about your features.
Please note;
I will take detailed information from each patient. Please consider cosmetic acupuncture is not for you if you suffer uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, have a pacemaker, blood thinning medications, have chronic migraine, a problem with excessive bleeding or bruising. Are currently detoxing with cold or flu symptoms. Pregnant or breast feeding. Have had Botox or fillers in the last 3 months. However, as explained above, it is sometimes possible to treat current health issues firstly, then re evaluate future cosmetic acupuncture treatments.
As always please consult your GP if you have concerns.
£125 Per appointment, please allow 2 hour’s.
